- If current date is before birthday in the year, age = (current year - birth year) - 1
- If current date is on or after birthday, age = current year - birth year
- For exact age: subtract birth date from current date, borrowing days and months as needed
- When calculating months, handle February carefully (28/29 days)
- A person born on Feb 29 celebrates on Feb 28 or Mar 1 in non-leap years
